Intel and Strategy Analytics have joined forces to produce a new study that explores the future societal and economic potential of pilotless vehicles. The explosive trend of ridesharing services has given rise to new markets in the transportation industry with Mobility-as-a-Service options displacing car ownership.
As consumers look for more economical commute alternatives to owning their own vehicles, the industry will witness increased Mobility-as-a-Service offerings with pilotless vehicles becoming more mainstream.
Pilotless vehicles will free more than 250 million hours of consumers’ commuting time per year in the most congested cities in the world.
